Rachel
Rachel Came into my clinic three days after it opened. Rachel was 76 years old with a 50 year history of Low back problems. She has had two hip replacements and her spine was fused in her low back in two places. She had constant pain and trouble walking.
Rachel needed a lot of treatment starting at 2 visits per week, then 1 per week for a while. She responded well to treatment to this day still comes in for regular maintenance visits approx every 6-8 weeks.
She wrote us a letter stating

About 18 years ago something happened that changed my life.
I was an active fourteen year old Rugby Union player, Water-skier and Surfer. I was struck down by back pain incorrectly diagnosed as a “slipped disc” and was prescribed powerful drugs, bed rest and cessation of all physical activities. I spent six months going from specialist to specialist with little result (except gaining 15 KG & increased low back pain, leg pain and numbness).
At the same time my Mum had been suffering from excruciating neck pain and migraines. This pain was making my Mum’s life unbearable, and affecting everything she did. It was becoming more and more difficult to do household chores, and trying to manage us kids was a nightmare. Our family doctor prescribed the typical muscle relaxants and pain-killers. After a few weeks of this the pain was so bad that she returned to the doctor who put her on stronger medications which spaced her out completely. It was a very hard time for all of us.
Mum made a decision that saved and shaped our lives and ultimately the lives of the rest of the family. We started Chiropractic therapy and after a few treatments her headaches and dizziness were gone and within 2 weeks I was back on the footy field!.
Over the next 3 years we benefited from regular Chiropractic Care and never again had spinal problems. I thought Brian was a genius and could help anyone.
In Grade 12 I did a week of Work Experience with John, a Chiropractor. People came to see John in pain, bent over and troubled. They left straight and pain free. Every patient seemed to be his friend, and everyone enjoyed seeing him.
From that day forth I decided I was going to be a Chiropractor and I now have the extreme pleasure of calling myself a Back Dr. Every day I help people live their lives healthy and pain free – what a job!
